For my Communication Theory course, I explored Darren Aronofsky's psychological thriller "Black Swan" through the lens of key communication concepts, such as Uncertainty Reduction Theory (URT) and Cognitive Dissonance Theory. The film's portrayal of Nina's descent into obsession and identity crisis offered a rich ground to analyse how internal conflict and information-seeking behaviours unfold under pressure.

I broke down important scenes using theory-backed analysis, supported by screenshot evidence with captions to show how Nina navigates (and spirals through) moments of anxiety, confusion, and duality. This assignment allowed me to not just study the theories, but also witness their practical application in visual storytelling, proving how communication is deeply psychological, especially when it is unspoken.
