Angelina's Visual Kit
Where concept meets craft.
About
Hi, I'm Angelina and I love to bring ideas to life one layer at a time. This is where concepts get dressed in colours, shapes, and textures until they're ready to step out and make an impression. Every design here is a mid-adventure because creativity is a never really ending journey, but just evolving.
Work
My Creative Concoctions
MMD3202 - Drawing Health: Storyboarding a Kidney PSA
In MMD3202 - Digital Video and Sound Technology, I sketched out the storyboard for a short public service announcement on kidney health. The visuals mapped out each scene, from narrative flow to camera angles, turning health awareness into an engaging story on screen.

COM4401 - From Bottles to Desks: Posters with a Purpose
For COM4401 - Development Comm, this course mainly focused on Environmental Day. I designed posters for the campaign along with promotional variations for my suggested product, pencil holders crafted from recyclable plastic bottles. The goal? To blend eye-catching visuals with a sustainability message that turns everyday waste into everyday use.

ICT2215 - Like, Share, Wear
ICT2215 - Web Design & Development with Multimedia wasn't just about building an e-library website, it was also about learning how to get people to actually use it. Alongside the coding and design basics, I dabbled in promotion by creating both a digital teaser (a social media post) and a print piece (a button badge). It was my first taste of blending web design with marketing flair, where every click and every badge carried a little spark of persuasion.

COM3211 - Stories Without Borders

COM2209 - Not Just Able, Remarkable
COM2209 - Comm Tech was where design met advocacy. For The Able campaign, I stepped into the role of creating infographics and social media content that didn't just inform, but celebrated. The aim was simple yet powerful: spotlighting the beauty, strength, and achievements of people with disabilities. This wasn't just another class project, it was a chance to use visuals as a voice, proving that design can do more than look good, it can do good.

Otaku Ops & Design Drops
During my stint as secretary of the IICP Japanese ACG Society, I wore two hats, one for admin duties, the other for design. Between taking minutes and sending notices, I found myself whipping up recruitment posters, crafting event artwork, and even designing a Genshin tournament rulebook (because even anime fans need structure). It was equal parts creativity and clerical work, and honestly, I wouldn't have had it any other way.

COM2112 - Sketching Chaos
In COM2112 - Screen Production Techniques, I traded essays for storyboards and helped map out "Beautiful Disaster". My role was mainly behind the scenes but on paper as well, plotting scenes, framing moments, and making sure the vision had a roadmap before the first "action!" was called.

RES1101 - From Data to Design
RES1101 - Intro to Comm Research was my crash course in turning numbers and survey responses into something people might actually want to look at. My team and I tackled a pretty big topic and transformed it into a research poster aimed at clarity over clutter. It wasn't about flashy visuals, but about making complex findings simple enough to understand.

COM2100-1 - Brochures with a Boost
COM2100-1 - Integrated Marketing Communication was where marketing theory finally met a real client. My team and I worked with Mr. Jonathan, a motivational speaker, to help promote his personal brand. I designed a brochure that wasn't just folded paper, it was a confidence booster in print, meant to capture his energy and professionalism while keeping things clear and engaging.

Diploma Internship - Flossing My Creative Muscles
During my 3-month internship at SmileBay Dental, I traded student projects for real-world smiles. My teammates and I drafted creative briefs for doctor, clinic, and corporate videos (so the branding agency knew exactly where to drill), storyboarded a clinic video from waiting room hellos to sparkling teeth, and designed social media post drafts that made dental care feel a little less scary and a lot more scroll-worthy. It was my crash course in turning clinical jargon into creative bites, and in proving that even dentists deserve their moment in the spotlight.

MPU2242 - Branding Myself (Shabbily, but Honestly)
For MPU2242 - Media Literacy for personal branding, we had to design a website that reflected who we are. My biggest takeaway? Personal branding is less about polish, more about personality.
That's how my logo came to be. A quirky little emblem stitched together with the things I love: the colour purple, any kind of noodle dish, crab sticks, mushrooms, my acronym a.f.w.h., and a nod to my Aries star sign. Do I think it looks a little shabby? Sure. But does it represent me. Absolutely.

COM2123 - Pixels, Posters & a Few Personal Demons
COM2123 - Graphic Communication was the course I finally made peace with the Adobe holy trinity: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Sometimes with a lecturer's help, sometimes just me, YouTube and sheer stubbornness.
Together, with my team (a.k.a. the cuddle trio), we built a mental health campaign that stretched across posters, media outputs, a custom logo, and even an 8-page leaflet. It was design with purpose: using visuals to start conversations that aren't always easy.
And for my individual project? I peeled back the smile to show the demons we often keep hidden, a reminder that behind every polished graphic is a messy, very human story.

COM2131 - When the Feed Becomes the Battlefield
COM2131 - Digital Media Communication was my backstage pass into the influencer economy. On one end, I dissected how Bang Energy and G FUEL pumped millions into influencer networks but ended up with very different public images; exposure versus reputation, the ultimate showdown. On the other hand, I zoomed in on Bretman Rock's glow-up: from meme-worthy skits to a beauty mogul who sprinkles advocacy between highlighter swipes. Together, these projects became my crash test in understanding how digital personas don't just sell, they shape culture.

COM2113 - Selling Smooth Lips, Sweet Sips & Spicy Kicks
COM2113 - Advertising Strategies & Planning was where I learned that an ad is never just an ad; it's a puzzle. How do you make Nivea lip balm more than a pocket essential? Milo more than a breakfast drink? Samyang more than a noodle dare. These artworks were my training ground for pairing logic with imagination, strategy with story. They may not have hit billboards, but they taught me to think like they could.

COM2109 - From Hashtags to Heartstrings
As the social media manager for my COM2109 - Public Relation Strategies course, I usually lived behind captions and calendars. But, for this virtual fundraiser with Befrienders Penang, I rolled up my sleeves and helped out with the visuals too. The result? A feed that wasn't just scrollable, but also supportable, blending awareness, warmth, and a sprinkle of design teamwork.

COM2103 - Stick Figures with Feelings (a.k.a. Always With You)
For my COM2103 - Introduction to Video, TV Production course, before cameras came in, I drew boxes and stick figures. This storyboard for "Always With You" may be simple, but it helped me keep the story in check.

MKT1102 - Clicks, Tricks, and Growth Hacks
In MKT1102 - Fundamentals of Marketing, I realised that every digital marketer's worst enemy isn't the competition, it's their own bad habits. These infographics break down the pitfalls that sink campaigns and map out strategies that fuel real growth. Designed to be quick, sharp, and scroll-stopping, they're the cheat codes for surviving the digital jungle.

COM1103 - First Steps into Poster Designing
COM1103 - Principles of Advertising was where I traded blank pages for bold layouts and discovered that posters are more than just pretty pictures, they're persuasion in print. From making Vitagen look like the secret to Julie's biscuits belong in your next grocery haul, these first steps were my crash course in mixing creativity with strategy. Think of it as my design baby album :D
